What better way to celebrate my 100th post on AJBuruca.com with a post of of the Savior, Jesus Christ!

While walking around campus one day, I came across this statue of Christ at the Snow building on the BYU-Idaho campus that really caught my eye. It was around lunchtime when I was walking by and the statue is in front of this rather large window where the daylight was hitting the face perfectly. I happened to have my Nikon D600 with my 50mm prime lens attached to it for some bokeh (background blur).

I have never really captured any type of statues in a professional way, so I was tempted to delay my lunch and get a few creative angles. This statue of the Savior really captures his emotion in multiple ways, one of the ways being his love by stretching out his arm towards others.  Here are a few of the images captured, It is amazing to see what the different angles and effects do to an image. Enjoy!
